Area Information

Red Feather Lakes is a Colorado mountain village located 45 miles northwest of Fort Collins.  The small population of permanent residents is vastly increased by summer residents and visitors.  The village is an active community with a variety of small shops and social activity groups, as well as, available safety services.  There are many opportunities for those who enjoy year-round residence, as well as, for those who visit during the summer months. Visit the Red Feather Lakes Community Library and check out the area resources.

There are three welcoming churches nearby, as well as, the noteworthy Shambala Center to serve the spiritual needs of the community.

The Roosevelt National Forest surrounds Red Feather Lakes and provides hiking and horseback trails and fishing lakes and streams, along with camp sites.

The Red Feather Lakes Property Owners Association maintains private fishing lakes, and fishing privileges are available by paid membership and an annual fee.  The POA building hosts many village activities, and membership is open to all residents of Red Feather Lakes.
