Activities at Fox Acres reflect the warmth and feeling of the community and lend a special quality to life here.  Nature sets the stage for recreation and activities are as varied as the interests of the members.

 

Golf must head the list of pastimes available. Tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, children's playground and sports court are made all the more enjoyable by the pleasant climate.

 

Golf Club members find fishing remarkable and there are countless options in terms of locale. Rainbow, brook and cutthroat trout abound in the lakes, which have been carefully stocked, and local rivers offer the fly fisherman challenge and contentment.  The Cache La Poudre River and the Laramie River, one of the premier fly-fishing streams in Colorado, are both within 30 miles of Fox Acres.  Area hunting is also excellent, and each season provides thrilling prospects.

 

Local nature hikes and trail rides offer a changing panorama of the countryside, and magnificent sites for camping or picnicking can be found at every turn.

 

In the winter, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and sledding provide the seasonal equivalent to summer hikes or rides, as well as being traditional winter activities shared by all the family.
